About Sun Valley Remedies

We began Sun Valley Remedies because we noticed that there was a need for an entirely organic product that would be acceptable as an everyday all-over all-body moisturizer, as well as the primary product for use by massage therapists.

I was born with eczema, and have struggled with bodycare products my entire life. I have also been a massage therapist for over 10 years in Sun Valley Idaho. Throughout my practice, I have used many different products. Some my skin wouldn't react to immediately...but it would eventually. Other products I tried, I wouldn't react to, but weren't of the consistency that I preferred.

The climate of Sun Valley is a high-mountain desert. So, we've got some pretty extreme weather. It is certainly as dry as any desert which makes it difficult to remain hydrated, as well as soft and supple. Because of this climate-related challenge, as a massage therapist, I require a lotion that is thick enough to glide, but also thin enough to absorb at the rate I want it to so my clients don't feel greasy. As a consumer living in this climate with the skin problems that I have, I need a product that is free of preservatives, harsh chemicals, and synthetic fragrances. I also need a bodycare product that is nurturing enough to last all day, no matter what my daily activity is in all seasons. However, I don't like the feel of a thick cream or butter that is often the first consistency that people think of for "very dry skin".
